Stabbing victim walks into Troy fire headquarters, 1 arrested

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — One person has been arrested after an alleged stabbing incident Saturday morning, according to the Troy Police Department. The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, will reportedly be charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

According to authorities, the victim — an adult man — walked into the Troy Fire Department building and said he was involved in a stabbing incident at about 7:15 a.m. The incident reportedly occurred near an alleyway around Congress Street and 5th Avenue.

The suspect had allegedly fled the scene but was located by police near State Street and 3rd Street, where he was detained. According to police, a preliminary investigation determined that the victim and suspect knew each other and were involved in an argument that escaped to the alleged assault.

The victim was reportedly transported by the Troy Fire Department to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. He is currently in stable condition, police said…
