First responders made a gruesome discovery after they removed a vehicle that was submerged in an Upstate New York creek.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office has announced that it is currently investigating a death after a vehicle was discovered submerged in a creek located in the hamlet of Stuyvesant Falls, New York.
Car Submerged in Upstate New York Creek
According to Columbia County Sheriff Donald J. Krapf, the incident began at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25th, when his office was dispatched to an area near the Kinderhook Creek, off Lindenwald Avenue in Stuyvesant Falls, NY, after receiving a report of a vehicle in the water.
Sheriff Krapf said that deputies quickly responded to the scene, and upon arrival, they confirmed that a vehicle was submerged in the water. Deputies reported that a white vehicle was submerged in the creek and proceeded to deploy the Sheriff’s Mobile Command Center to begin a search and an investigation.
