3 injured following alleged stabbing, assault at Stewart’s Pond

HADLEY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Northumberland woman was arrested on Sunday following an alleged stabbing and assault incident at Stewart’s Pond, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Jenna Helenek, 21, faces several charges.

Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies responded to the lake boat launch at about 2:20 a.m. following a report of an assault. Authorities allege that Helenek had stabbed one individual in the chest with a knife, punched two other people in the face and also bit one of them in the stomach.

The stabbing victim was reportedly taken to Glens Falls Hospital with serious injuries before being transferred to Albany Medical Center for further treatment. The other victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Glens Falls Hospital and Malta Med Emergent Care, the sheriff’s office said.

Helenek has been charged with first-degree assault, two counts of third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She was arraigned in Corinth Town Court and is being held at the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings at Hadley Town Court…
