Schenectady man sentenced to 63 months for fentanyl possession

A Schenectady man will spend more than five years in federal prison after law enforcement found nearly 1,800 fentanyl pills and over $90,000 in his home while he was on parole.

Terrell Bell, 28, was sentenced to 63 months behind bars for possessing and intending to distribute fentanyl, federal prosecutors announced Thursday. He will also serve four years of supervised release following his prison term.

Bell admitted to the charges after authorities searched his home in January 2024 and uncovered the drugs and cash stashed throughout the residence. At the time, he was already under parole supervision for a prior felony.

“Bell didn’t learn his lesson after a prior felony conviction and term of parole, but he should learn it now,” said Acting U.S. Attorney John A. Sarcone III. “Dealing drugs in this District doesn’t pay.”…
