A reported boat explosion led to a large boat fire Friday evening in Rensselaer. Two people, including a firefighter, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The City of Rensselaer Fire Department responded to the Albany Yacht Club in Rensselaer around 5:40 Friday night. Once firefighters arrived, they found a boat fully engulfed in flames.
The boat was at first still attached to the fueling dock but within minutes of firefighters arriving, the boat then detached itself from the dock and started to float south down the Hudson River while it was on fire…
