Three times a tip and on parole, Albany man arrested

SLINGERLANDS – Police say a newspaper deliveryman tried to stretch a $25 tip he received for Christmas, allegedly attempting to cash it three more times.

According to reports, Gregory Milgo, 46, of Albany was arrested by Bethlehem police on Wednesday, July 9. He had an active arrest warrant against him, signed by Judge Erin Lynch on June 27, for possession of a forged instrument, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor. The total of the additional money taken was $85.

Milgo was taken into custody at Albany County Parole Division because he was on parole after a conditional release from prison in 2023. Milgo was serving an 18-year prison sentence for manslaughter for shaking his 4-month-old son to death in 2008…
