Thanks to a $4 million award from New York’s Environmental Bond Act, nine and a half miles of the Albany-Hudson Electric Trail in Columbia County have been fully paved — bringing this popular route closer to its original vision.
While the section was initially intended to be paved, stone dust was used during the original build due to budget constraints. With this new funding, the Hudson River Valley Greenway moved forward with the upgrade.
Paving is now 100% complete, with only a few finishing touches remaining…
