Humane society seeking information on emaciated Pitbull found in Hudson

HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Columbia-Greene Humane Society is seeking information in regard to an emaciated female Pitbull recently found in Hudson. The dog, named Petal, weighed 32 pounds upon arrival, which is less than half the recommended healthy weight for a dog her size.

Petal was found on July 31 around 4 p.m. in Hudson and it is believed she came from the Hudson or Chatham areas. The humane society is offering $1,000 to anyone who can provide information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for neglecting Petal.

Anyone with information should call the humane society’s cruelty unit at (518) 828-6044. The calls will be kept confidential.
