Albany PD arrests 2 for street racing

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Two men have been charged after police said they were illegally street racing in the city of Albany.

Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, police said they saw multiple cars high-speed racing on Washington Avenue Extension near Route 155. Officers conducted traffic stops, and two people were arrested.

Nathan Wood, 25, of Albany, and Preston O’Neil, 18, of Nassau, were both charged with illegal speed contest and speed not reasonable and prudent. Both cars were impounded as evidence.

The two men are scheduled to appear in court at a later date…
