ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — City officials gathered in Albany on Monday to cut a ribbon on a new mural. Paint Care, a national nonprofit dedicated to recycling leftover household paint, teamed up with the Albany Parking Authority to make it happen.
Local artist Quill Harrison created the mural on the Quackenbush Parking Garage in downtown Albany using recycled paint. The project was designed to highlight the importance of paint recycling through community art. Officials said the mural celebrates both environmental and local creativity.

“Ensuring that we are doing all that we can to keep things out of our landfill; to be creative about how we reduce, reuse, recycle,” Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan said. “And so, to be able to point to an incredible example of it, and I want to thank the artist because this is a wonderful addition to our public art.”
