ALBANY — A group of Bethlehem residents is again trying to stop the Port of Albany from pursuing what they claim is an environmental disaster in the making.
The issue currently revolves around an $18.8 million grant that Empire State Development Corp. has awarded to the Port of Albany to make its Beacon Island site “shovel-ready” for a yet-to-be-found manufacturer or other business to use the site.
