Nassau man faces multiple burglary charges after series of theft incidents

Nassau, NY (WRGB) — New York State Police, with assistance from the Schodack Police Department, have arrested 35-year-old John Weinheimer of Nassau, New York, following a series of burglary investigations. Weinheimer faces charges including two counts of burglary in the second degree, burglary in the third degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth and fifth degrees, two counts of criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and two counts of petit larceny.

The investigation began on June 30, 2025, when troopers responded to a report of a past burglary at a business in Nassau. Authorities say Weinheimer reportedly entered the unoccupied business overnight, causing damage, consuming products, and stealing money.
