Old Farmer’s Almanac Predicts First Frost For Capital Region

As we prepare for another string of 90-degree days next week, there is still plenty of summer heat on the way for the last month of summer.

That said, I am sure just like me, you have felt that first fall-like chill when we have seen cooler stretches of weather. It happens every August – that first sign that autumn and cooler weather are upon us. You know exactly what I am talking about – that first August morning when you walk outside and think to yourself, ‘I should have worn a sweater and jeans!’

What can we expect for the season ahead? We have already begun to see fall weather predictions from the Farmers’ Almanac and the Old Farmer’s Almanac, and both say cool and dry weather will be the theme this fall. Now, we can add first frost predictions to those fall forecasts.
