High-Speed Pursuit Leads Troopers To Cocaine: NYSP

Four people are facing felony drug possession charges after a high-speed police chase in Menands, New York State Police announced on Monday, Aug. 11.

Troopers tried to stop a northbound vehicle on I-787 for a traffic violation at about 12:29 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, according to police. The driver, Mamadou O. Diallo, 28, of St. Albans, allegedly refused to pull over, sparking a two-mile pursuit before stopping. Diallo was taken into custody at the scene, investigators said.

The passengers — identified as Alhousseiny Bah, 31, of New York; Hadja Z. Bah, 23, of Brooklyn; and Mamadou A. Balde — were also detained, troopers said. A search of the vehicle uncovered cocaine packaged in multiple plastic bags, according to the release…
