ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Albany County Pine Hills Land Authority is moving forward with its vision for the future of the former College of Saint Rose campus. They’ve launched an initiative called Reimagine Saint Rose that is focused on the development of the 26.5-acre property.
The College of Saint Rose closed at the end of the 2023-2024 academic year. It is comprised of more than 70 buildings and nearly 950,000 square feet of social spaces, houses, offices and more.

Several projects have been announced since the school closed, including the creation of a new substation for the Albany County Sheriff’s Office. Officials said other preliminary plans include affordable housing, community spaces, and workforce training.
