SCHENECTADY — A city man faces seven years in prison for intentionally setting multiple fires inside his apartment building in January while at least 20 other tenants were inside, according to the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office.
On Monday, Namere Thompson, 33, pleaded guilty in Schenectady County Court to second-degree arson as part of an agreement with the district attorney’s office. His sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 15 before County Judge Matthew Sypniewski.
