Albany’s downtown set for transformation with new office and residential project

Albany, NY (WRGB) — First Columbia is advancing a transformative development plan to revitalize downtown Albany with new energy and investment. The proposal for 705 Broadway, a vacant lot across from the Leo W. O’Brien Federal Building and adjacent to the Hyatt Place Hotel, aims to introduce the first new Class A office space downtown in nearly two decades.

The ambitious project envisions a nine-story office building with a ground-floor restaurant, a four-story mixed-use residential building, and a new urban plaza. These developments are expected to bolster downtown Albany as both a workplace and a neighborhood.
