GLENMONT — A 41-year-old Delmar man, on parole after an early release from a 17-year prison sentence for manslaughter, was arrested for his second DWI in 18 months by Bethlehem police on Thursday, July 24.
According to reports, a Bethlehem patrol unit observed a Black Infiniti QX50 northbound on Route 32 at approximately 12:47 a.m., traveling at a high rate of speed. The officers attempted to stop the vehicle on Route 9W, Corning Hill Road, and onto River Road with lights and sirens on. The driver stopped after not obeying the stop sign at the intersection.
The officer identified the driver as Alan Shaw from a prior DWI arrest in Bethlehem on January 7, 2024. Shaw’s conditional license was suspended pending prosecution by a court for blood alcohol content…
