Burnt Hills man charged with raping a minor

BURNT HILLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Burnt Hills man last week after a sex crime investigation involving a child. Damon Brooks, 22, was charged with six counts of second-degree rape.

Brooks is accused of maintaining an unlawful sexual relationship with a minor younger than 15 years old. Investigators determined he allegedly engaged the child in sex across six separate incidents throughout 2024.

Officers took Brooks into custody on August 20. He was held at the Saratoga County Jail without bail after being arraigned in Saratoga Springs City Court on August 21. He’s slated to return to court on September 9.
