Albany man indicted on cocaine, fentanyl trafficking charges

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Quentin Rowlett of Albany was arraigned on a five-count indictment on Friday in a drug trafficking investigation, the Albany County District Attorney’s Office announced. Rowlett, 37, faces multiple felony charges.

Law enforcement executed a search warrant at Rowlett’s home on Marshall Street in Albany on August 21 in connection to an investigation into narcotics sales in the city. During the search, agents of the Albany County Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Effort (SCOPE) unit and the FBI allegedly located over three-quarters of a pound of cocaine, over a quarter-pound of fentanyl powder, a loaded .40 caliber handgun, a digital scale, packaging materials, and around $9,600 in cash within Rowlett’s residence.

Rowlett was taken into custody as a result of the search. He was arraigned before Judge William Little on August 29 for the following charges:

  • First-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon

Rowlett was held at the Albany County Jail after pleading not guilty to all charges on Friday. Assistant District Attorney Marissa Olsen is leading the case’s prosecution.
