Latham Man Sentenced For Dozens of Colonie Retail Burglaries

  • Stockman has been involved in at least 38 since 2023

ALBANY — A Latham man will serve four to 12 years in state prison for a string of retail burglaries committed across Colonie, Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced Friday.

Jesse Stockman, 38, was sentenced Thursday by Judge Andra Ackerman after pleading guilty to two counts of burglary in the third degree.

Stockman admitted to breaking into and stealing items from numerous Colonie businesses from late 2023 to early 2024. These included several Loudon Road locations such as Ted’s Fish Fry, The Deep End, Casa Flora, Bellini’s, and Goodyear Tire Company, as well as Cider Belly Donuts on Fuller Road and Beer Universe on Central Avenue. In some instances, the value of stolen items exceeded $1,000.

New York State Police, with assistance from Colonie Police, arrested Stockman on Jan. 16, 2024, after he was found in possession of stolen merchandise from some of the targeted locations. Stockman told authorities he was stealing to fuel his drug addiction…
