Cause of Hudson’s Wunderbar blaze undetermined, fire chief says

HUDSON — The cause of the fire that tore through three buildings on Hudson’s main drag on Saturday is undetermined, a designation that is unlikely to change, the city’s fire chief said late Thursday.

The fire broke out around 7 a.m. on the 700 block of Warren Street, affecting three buildings. The first houses the coffee shop Rev Hudson and two floors of apartments; the second houses the popular restaurant Wunderbar Bistro and two apartments; the third includes Restaurant Manor Rock on its ground floor and an apartment above.

Hudson Fire Chief Shawn Hoffman said the cause was undetermined because of the amount of damage to the Wunderbar building, though the blaze was not being treated as suspicious. The roof of the kitchen, located in the middle of the eatery, collapsed, as did some of the rear walls, he said…
