ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- The Albany County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a gun buy back Thursday, September 4 from 6-9 p.m. in the parking lot near their Mobile Command Center, 208 Washington Avenue, Albany.
Sheriff Craig Apple says the event is part of ongoing efforts to remove illegal guns from the streets and address gun violence. The event also supports PEACE (Preventing Endangerment & Criminal Exposure).
“This program is designed to be mobile, hosting events from the Sheriff’s Mobile Command Center, targeting hot spots for gun violence as well as neighborhoods and areas of the county which may not otherwise be able to access traditional buy back events,” Apple said…
