Megan Monthie, MD created Heirloom Family Medicine out of a deep frustration with today’s broken healthcare system and a fierce calling and commitment to do better.
I love caring for multiple generations of families as a family doctor, but I’ve realized no matter how much time, energy, or heart I gave in the traditional system, it was never enough to fix a model that rushed visits, ignored the things that really mattered, and left patients feeling unseen. Heirloom has been thoughtfully crafted to share the kind of care I would want for the people I love most – empathetic, unhurried, and built on a foundation of trust. I’m excited to restore the patient/physician relationship through the DPC model with my patients and community in the Capital Region of New York!
