Albany, NY (WRGB) — 30-year-old Mario Malcolm from Schenectady has been sentenced to state prison for driving under the influence and possessing an illegal firearm, Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced today.
The charges stem from an incident on August 3, 2024, when Colonie Police responded to a car crash just before 4 AM at Albany Street and Virginia Avenue. Officers found a single vehicle had crashed into a tree, with Malcolm passed out in the driver’s seat. A loaded handgun was discovered under his leg.
