Burglary, larceny and warrant at Walmart in Glenmont

GLENMONT – An Albany woman with a history of larcenies and a recent attempted fraud at a credit union is behind bars after allegedly taking items from Walmart on Route 9W on Saturday, Aug. 23. She had been banned from the store for another larceny in June.

At 5:15 p.m., officers responded to a larceny in progress at the store and found Kelly Walden, 57, at the bus stop in the plaza with meat and eggs that she allegedly stole. After an investigation, Kelly Walden was arrested and charged with burglary, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.  The charge was elevated to a felony because she entered into a place she was not permitted to be to execute a crime.

Kelly Walden also had an outstanding warrant from Colonie for not showing up to court in December for felony charges there from an incident at Broadview Federal Credit Union…
