Gillis family opposes delay in Monahan wrongful death suit

The family of Kaylin Gillis, the young woman who was shot and killed by Kevin Monahan as she rode in a car that turned around in his driveway, does not want a delay in the wrongful death lawsuit against Monahan.

Monahan, who is serving 27 1/3 years to life in prison has appealed his conviction, saying the evidence against him was insufficient to prove depraved indifference murder.

Monahan wants the civil suit brought against him by the Gillis family to be “stayed” or paused until the outcome of his appeal…
