ALBANY, N.Y. (WWTI) – Two men from Hogansburg were indicted on Wednesday for conspiracy to commit alien smuggling and three more counts of alien smuggling.
In a press release from the United States Department of Justice, 35-year-old Joseph Coffey and 32-year-old Darren Cook allegedly conspired with an alien smuggling organization in Canada to smuggle three individual, two of which were from China and the other from the United Kingdom, across the St. Lawrence River into the United States for a profit.
