Albany, NY (WRGB) — 34-year-old Kwahpreme Mitchell from Watervliet, New York, pleaded guilty to charges of possessing firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and possessing firearms as a convicted felon.
Mitchell admitted to receiving firearms stolen from Calamity Jane’s Firearms and Fine Shoes in Hudson Falls, New York, by Jonathon Combs and Martin Taft on October 21, 2022. In return, Mitchell agreed to provide Combs and Taft with 150 grams of cocaine for distribution. Additionally, Mitchell exchanged approximately 3.5 grams of cocaine base for a shotgun on or about October 15, 2022. Mitchell, a convicted felon, was prohibited from possessing firearms due to a prior New York State felony drug conviction.
