Selkirk man over the BAC limit, guns taken for safekeeping
DELMAR – A 29-year-old Selkirk man faces DWI charges after a traffic stop for speeding on Sunday, Aug. 31. Police also took two firearms into safekeeping before the vehicle was towed from the scene.
According to reports, at 11:39 p.m., officers made contact with the driver, who refused to make eye contact and kept his head down during the conversation. The officer observed an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the interior of the vehicle. The man said that he had consumed a couple of beers.
