SCHENECTADY — The city is wrapping up an internal probe into an incident in which the head of its building and codes department called for police and reported that illegal immigrants who appeared to be Mexican were part of a work crew replacing a roof on a home, without the required permit.
Chief Building Inspector Brian Trinci also asks the police dispatcher in the 911 call about the possibility of sending U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to the property on Eastern Parkway in Schenectady.
