A new spot for comfort food and community is set to open soon in Albany. The former Albany Ale and Oyster space will become Little City Luncheonette, an all-day breakfast and lunch restaurant from Mia and Joe Hinners and BMT Hospitality.
The restaurant will bring back the charm of a classic neighborhood diner. The menu features breakfast favorites such as eggs, pancakes, and home fries, alongside sandwiches, milkshakes, soft-serve ice cream, and desserts. Comfort food dishes such as chicken pot pie and meatloaf will also be featured.
A full bar is planned, with ideas like a breakfast happy hour for overnight workers who want a sandwich with coffee or maybe even a beer. The goal is to keep prices reasonable while giving people the option to upgrade their meals.
