Police offer reward as manhunt for suspected Cohoes killer stretches on

BRIGHTON — Police are now offering a reward for information on the whereabouts of accused killer Anthony “Tony” Bechand as a multi-agency manhunt in the Adirondacks stretches into its seventh day.

The U.S. Marshals Service has joined the search and is offering a $5,000 reward for any tips that may lead police to 53-year-old Bechand, State Police announced in a social media post Saturday.

This announcement comes three days after Cohoes police put out a call for public assistance, with Cohoes Mayor Bill Keeler saying there had been no sightings or new leads since Bechand’s 2024 Chevrolet Silverado was found in the Franklin County town of Brighton on Sunday…
