Police accuse Albany man of assaulting, choking woman and threatening officers

ALBANY — An Albany man allegedly punched, choked and threw a woman to the ground before threatening to “kill everyone” after police arrived to the scene on Saturday night, according to the Albany Police Department.

Michael Haight, 34, is charged with assaulting the woman, whom police said he was familiar with, at a residence on Albany Street near Broadway following a verbal altercation, according to a news release the police department issued Sunday morning.
