ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An Albany man was sentenced to state prison after being arrested two separate times for gun possession. Tywone Jackson, 21, faces a total of nine years of incarceration.

Jackson was arrested twice and charged with second-degree attempted criminal possession of a weapon both times. On October 12, 2024, he was accused of tossing a loaded nine millimeter gun while running from police and on June 16 of this year he was accused of having over 5 ounces of crack cocaine and a loaded nine millimeter handgun.
The defendant faces five years for the first incident and four for the second. They will run consecutively and he will also have five years of post-release supervision after being released.
