No plans for unisex bathrooms
DELMAR – Anyone walking into the men’s bathrooms at Bethlehem Town Hall will now see the addition of a dispenser for sanitary pads and tampons.
Added about three weeks ago to the town hall men’s rooms, the products are dispensed free of charge. The town already provided free feminine hygiene products in the town hall’s women’s bathrooms.
Town of Bethlehem Supervisor David VanLuven said since it was cost prohibitive to redesign the town hall’s bathroom into unisex bathrooms, providing tampons and sanitary napkins in the men’s bathrooms was “the way to go.”…
