SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WNYT) – The trial of a woman accused of dropping her 10-month-old baby down a drainage pipe last year is scheduled to begin Monday.
Persia Nelson faces charges including murder and manslaughter. She is accused of dropping Baby Halo into the pipe on the General Electric campus. Investigators say Halo died from exposure and hypothermia, but did not drown.
