Former bookkeeper accused of stealing $55K from Albany-based company

ALBANY — A Saratoga County woman has been charged after allegedly stealing more than $50,000 from her former employer, according to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.

The 61-year-old woman is accused of stealing $54,956.45 from her former employer, Competitive Advantage Group, through unauthorized purchases using a corporate credit card and HVAC work performed at multiple residential properties, according to the sheriff’s office.

Competitive Advantage Group, also known as CA Group, provides heating and cooling services across upstate New York and was founded in 2008, according to its website. The woman held the role of full charge bookkeeper at the company, according to the sheriff’s office…
