Capital Pride Center head leaving role after filing discrimination complaint

ALBANY — The executive director of the Pride Center of the Capital Region filed a complaint with the state Division of Human Rights against the center last week, claiming discrimination, before the center announced he would no longer be working there.

Nathaniel Gray announced Friday in a video on his Instagram he had filed the complaint “regarding my need for workplace accommodations and my rights under the ADA.” In a Facebook post responding to the video, the Pride Center said Gray would be paid through Oct. 10 “even though he no longer serves in the capacity of executive director.”
