The Watervliet Police Department said it responded to the apartments to investigate the altercation when a witness turned over a loaded .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun and identified the person who had it. Investigators found that Perry threatened the other party in the altercation with the handgun before uninvolved witnesses wrestled the firearm from his hands.
Perry was arraigned in Watervliet City Court and placed in the Albany County Correctional Facility.
