Troy, NY (WRGB) — A collaborative operation under the Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) Initiative led to the seizure of an illegal firearm and the arrest of a 22-year-old Vincent Lilly from Troy.
According to a release, on Monday evening, members of the Troy Police Department, NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS), Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office, and Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office conducted a joint operation. During a home visit on 5th Ave near 109th St, a loaded, illegal handgun was discovered. Lilly, the suspect, was arrested without incident and charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. He was arraigned in Troy City Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail.
