WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A fire broke out Wednesday on Seventh Avenue in the city of Watervliet. Two houses at 1326 Seventh Ave. and 1330 Seventh Ave. caught fire around noon.
The houses were next door to each other. The fire traveled from one house to the next because of wind, according to Watervliet Fire Chief Thomas Garrett.

There were eight adults and one child between both houses. The Red Cross is assisting. No one was injured, and everyone made it out safely.
