Two arrested on burglary, theft charges in Coeymans

COEYMANS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Coeymans Police arrested two people last week as a result of a burglary investigation. Nicole Meier, 43, and Mark Deso, 53, are facing multiple charges.

On October 2, police executed a search warrant at a home on County Road 111 in Coeymans in connection to a reported theft. During the search, law enforcement allegedly recovered multiple rifles, an assortment of jewelry, a computer, a printer, and surveillance equipment within the residence, all of which detectives determined was stolen.

Meier and Deso, who were in the house at the time, were both taken into custody at the scene. They now face the following charges:

Meier

  • Second-degree burglary
  • Two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny
  • Fourth-degree conspiracy

Deso

  • Two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property
  • Fourth-degree conspiracy

Meier was held at the Albany County Jail ahead of a preliminary hearing, while Deso was released on his own recognizance. Coeymans Police stated that additional arrests are pending in the ongoing investigation.
