Albany man accused of threatening neighbor with handgun

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An Albany man was arrested following an investigation into a menacing incident on Central Avenue in Albany on Wednesday evening. Naquan Moran, 44, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.

Police said they responded to Central Avenue at around 6:45 p.m. for reports of a person with a weapon and discovered that Moran was involved in an altercation when he allegedly threatened his neighbor with a handgun. There were no injuries but Moran was taken into custody after being found on scene.

Officers executed a search warrant on Moran’s home and reported finding a loaded nine millimeter handgun. Moran was arraigned on Thursday morning in Albany City Criminal Court and placed in the Albany County Jail with bail set at $20,000.
