ALBANY — A young man was shot near the corner of Washington and Lexington avenues early Sunday morning, city police said.
Police initially responded to the area near Albany Fire Station Engine One around 1:35 a.m. for a reported shooting. Though officers found evidence of gunfire in the area, they did not find a gunshot victim at the scene, according to a news release from the Albany Police Department.
Soon after, Albany Memorial Hospital staff notified police that a 24-year-old man had entered the emergency room with a gunshot wound in his arm. He has since been transferred to Albany Medical Center for treatment. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening…
