Albany man facing larceny, criminal mischief charges after complaints at car dealership

SARATOGA COUNTY, NY (WRGB) — An Albany man was arrested Friday in connection to vandalism complaints late last month at Romeo Ford and New Country Toyota in Wilton.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to vandalism complaints on Sept. 29, 2025, at 8:41 a.m. at Romeo Ford and New Country Toyota. Investigation into the complaints led to the arrest of Peter K. Karian, 44, Friday for two counts of grand larceny in the 3rd degree, criminal mischief in the 2nd degree (class D felonies) and criminal mischief in the 3rd degree (class E felony).

Karian is accused of stealing side badges, rear view mirrors, a tire, and other accessories from numerous Ford vehicles and an OnStar SOS and forward collision system from a Toyota vehicle that were each valued in excess of $3,000. He is also charged with intentionally causing damage to the Ford vehicles in an amount that exceeded $1,500 and to the Toyota vehicle in an amount that exceeded $250…
