Dirt bike rider charged in crash that hurt UAlbany student expected to testify

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – The man from Watervliet accused of hitting a UAlbany student with his dirt bike and leaving the scene is expected to take the stand in his own defense.

Austin Breyette is facing charges of assault, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, and tampering with physical evidence in the crash on Hudson Avenue in Albany that seriously injured Alexa Kropf in April 2024.

Breyette is accused of driving his dirt bike recklessly when he hit Kropf, leaving the student with life-changing injuries…
