Albany teen charged after fleeing police

ALBANY — A 16-year-old was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon after city police say he was found with a ghost gun.

Police tried to stop the teen around 1:50 a.m. Sunday morning near Delaware and Myrtle avenues as part of an investigation, according to a news release. The teen fled on foot and when officers took him into custody after a brief pursuit, they say they found a 9mm ghost gun.

Police did not identify the teen because of his age. He was charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon, arraigned in city criminal court and sent to the Capital District Juvenile Secure Detention Facility…
