Coxsackie man arraigned in hospital bed in fatal Albany I-787 crash

ALBANY — A 44-year-old Coxsackie man was arraigned Thursday from his hospital bed for charges related to the first of two deadly crashes Sunday on Interstate 787.

Lewis Thomas is facing second-degree manslaughter, second-degree assault and second-degree vehicular manslaughter charges, according to an update Friday from State Police. He was arraigned around 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Albany Medical Center, where he is hospitalized in stable condition. Troopers expect additional traffic charges to be filed.
