SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A man from Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, was arrested on October 14 during a traffic stop in Saratoga Springs for allegedly possessing 18 pounds of controlled substances. New York State Police said Joseph R. Warren, 43, is facing multiple charges.

- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Vehicle and traffic violations
State Police said they stopped a car on the Northway around 6:25 p.m. for traffic violations. The driver was identified as Warren, and with the help of K9 J, law enforcement seized several vacuum-sealed bags in the car.
Troopers said 16 pounds of the substances found in the vacuum-sealed bags tested positive for the psychedelic drug MDMA, and four pounds tested positive for fentanyl. Warren was arraigned in Saratoga Springs City Court and remains in the Saratoga County Jail without bail.
